201.13.2.4 Diffusion of Rights

What does diffusion of rights mean?

The diffusion of rights is a key part of the Delivery Orders as its defines the rights agreement that determines the platforms through which the delivered content can be transmitted, how and where content can be transmitted. For instance:

Description :In this example of rights diffusion, the station delivers its content to multiple platforms including:

•VOD America&Asia: Content is delivered via IPTV to Europe and VOD to America and Asia.

•Terrestrial& Satellite Italy: Content is delivered via SAT and Terrestrial to Italy.
 
Other delivery platforms include:

•VOD Europe

•IPTV Spain

•IPTV Europe

Defining the diffusion of Delivery Orders

The "Delivery Orders" module allows to specify the diffusion of the Delivery Orders assigned to each order line (i.e. single/season program) with user-defined territories, areas and media type.  In order to manage the diffusion of rights Area templates need to first configured in the Tables drop down option on the Menu:

1.Create your Territory groups (e.g. Europe, Asia, North America South America and Australia):

Function - [Add]
Description : Insert a new territory group into the list.

Function - [Remove]
Description : Delete the currently selected territory group from the list.

Function - [Undo]
Description : Revert the last performed changes.

Function - [Save]
Description : Press this button to store all performed changes.

Function - Modify
Description : Clicking on an existing territory group for modification.

2.Specify the Territories that feature in these groups (e.g. Italy and France falling under Europe and China and Indonesia falling under Asia):

3. Specify what Media (diffusion means) are available (e.g. Cable, Digital, IPTV, Satellite, Terrestrial, VOD):

4.Define custom Template Platforms by collating media and territories (e.g. VOD America, IPTV Italy):

5. Now you can start assigning template platforms to delivery orders under "General > Template Platform":
