In the Tools dropdown menu, as well as in the toolbar, the following additional functions are available:
Create a new record with the same data - Create an asset with the same data (i.e.: general data, associated media, EDL, metadata, etc) featured by the current asset. The asset code will be manually inserted by the operator whilst the ID will be automatically generated.
Create backup - Create a certain number of backup copies of the current asset containing all its information (i.e.: media data is copied whereas media files not). The media associated will also be copied in the backup, separate from the original archived media. The asset code of the backups will be automatically generated as a extension of the original code.
For example, if the original asset is '' the backup copies will be 'AssetXYZ-001', 'AssetXYZ-002' and so on.AssetXYZ
EDL preview - Enables you to preview the proxy file according to the EDL (i.e. excluding any video fault) IF the EDL saving path has been previously configured in Configurations\Settings\Media Library.
View asset without video faults - Preview the high resolution file directly from the videoserver according to the EDL. Video faults will therefore not be played and in essence you can view exactly what will be sent on air.

Publish on platforms - It is possible to publish a story (news) into specific social platforms, including also a media to upload. Refer to chapter 79.4.5 - Platforms for additional information related also to the specific configuration.
Divide into individual episode parts - If an asset has been created as an individual event but it then needs to be associated to an existing season as an additional episode, this function allows you to do this.
Specify the properties - Use it to view the properties enabled for the type of the current asset, being also possible to enable the "count sponsor duration in the commercial crowding" property (see type properties).
Publish on platforms - if selected and correctly configured on the Platform configuration in Etere Nunzio (see 79.4.2.6 Platforms chapter), it can be used to make a post on platforms like X (Twitter), Facebook, etc. On the window that will be opened, the user can write some text and add an asset metafile on it.
Update media and properties across schedules - Save all changes performed on the asset's media, properties and secondary events, also extending these changes to the events on which the asset has been scheduled to go on-air (i.e. updating them with the more recent information).
Once performed, a report will appear indicating the updated schedules and fields.
Generate subtitles - In case the proxy file(s) associated to the current asset counts with SAMI subtitles embedded on it, this function will allow to extract and save it as a separate caption file. Once the function is launched, some messages could be displayed depending on the function status, available messages are:
•No wmv file has been linked to the asset form: The asset doesn't count with any proxy file associated to it.
•Select the file with subtitles: In case the asset is associated to more than one proxy file, specify the one containing the captions to be extracted.
•Error: synchronized lyrics not found in the wmv file: The selected proxy file doesn't contains SAMI subtitles embedded on it.
•Done: Subtitles have been correctly extracted and saved into the path set in Etere STMan | Subtitles Management.
Moreover, the Creating Subtitles section of the Etere STMan chapter provides information about how to embed synchronized files in wmv files.
Produce subtitles - Play back a proxy file externally, that is, using the Windows Media Player application, allowing for example, to view or modify its SAMI captions. This function will return one of the following messages depending on its status:
•No wmv file has been linked to the asset form: The asset doesn't count with any proxy file associated to it.
.
•Select the file with subtitles: In case the asset is associated to more than one proxy file, specify the one to be produced.
.
•No message: The selected proxy file has been correctly opened using Windows Media Player.

Enable/disable live - Use this button to indicate that an asset form is related to a live event (i.e. an unrecorded asset which video stream arrives from a "live" router channel). See Enable/Disable Live.
Edit - In case "Session Logs" are enabled in the Etere system, pressing this button will allow the user to modify the asset (e.g. general data, workflows, properties, etc.).
