Tool Bar
The toolbar at the top of the page provides quick access to the most commonly used functions including:
New - Creates a new season ready to be compiled with its most relevant data. See Season Manager.
Save - Stores all changes performed to the season into the database.
Undo - Cancels the last modification performed to the season.
Add Episode - Creates a certain range of episodes within the season. See Episodes Management.
Add episode with prefix - Creates episodes named as [Prefix][YYYMMDD][Suffix] (e.g. 'Peanuts20110528_night'). See Episodes Management.
Refresh episodes - Updates the episodes list of episodes (useful for multi-users management).
Refresh - Saves all changes performed and updates the displayed general information.
Update codes and titles across schedules - Extends all performed changes (i.e. code and title) to the schedules on which episodes are scheduled to go on-air, updating them with the new information.
Update media and properties across schedules - Save all changes performed on the season' media, properties and secondary events, also extending these changes to the events on which the season episodes has been scheduled to go on-air (i.e. updating them with the more recent information).
Tools Menu
Besides the functions mentioned above, the following tools menu are available:
Create a new record with the same data - This option duplicate the current opened season, creating a new one featuring all the same information and episodes. The operator will be prompt to enter a title for the new season.
Set all episodes as live - This function (also available by right-click on the search results) allows to:
➢Set as live: If enabled, the current season will be set as "LIVE", it will be possible to transmit unrecorded episodes since they are received directly from a source routing channel.
➢Set event property: Set the event property to be assigned to episodes. By default it is proposed to set them as "variable/manual" (i.e. events with a variable duration with a manually controlled start/end).
NB: Please note that unchanged parameters won't be updated across the seasons but only those (live-channel and/or event-property) modified by the user.
Create promo - This tool allows to create (in few steps) a promotional asset that linked to the current season; please refer to the Create a promo chapter for more details.
