What is a pending event?
A pending event is a scheduled event (i.e. commercial) temporarily prevented from being invoiced, for instance, because the event should be reassigned to a not-yet-arrived order.
Setting events as pending
Changing the status of a scheduled event into "pending" is an easy task that can be accomplished following the procedure below:
1. Make right-click on the event and select the "Change into pending event" option from either:
Strategic Editor > Contextual menu
Sales > Orders > Lines > Quick functions > Scheduling Status > Contextual menu
2. Once events are set with a "pending" status, they will be be ignored during billing process carried out from "Money > Invoicing"
Reassigning pending events
Pending events can be assigned at any time to other different orders following the procedure below:
1. From Air Sales, using any of the following functions:
Strategic Editor > Contextual menu: Link pending event to another order - Select a single event and link it to an order line
Sales > Orders > Lines > Scheduling Status: Link pending event to another order - Select a single event and link it to an order line
Sales > Orders > Lines > Contextual menu: Link pending events - Select an order line and link to it multiple pending events
2. Once reassigned, the "pending" status of events is automatically removed, thus making them available for being invoiced from the "Money > Invoicing" module
Reporting pending events
The presence of pending events across broadcast playlist can be monitored through the following modules:
❑From the "Airing Certification Report" utility, generating a certificate of performance featuring one of the following options:
Only pending events - All program slots exclusively containing "pending" events
All events except pending - All program slots exclusively containing "normal" events (i.e. not pending)
Only not yet invoiced events except pending - All program slots exclusively containing "normal" events (i.e. not pending) which have been not yet invoiced
❑From the Reports module, generating a "Pending transmissions" report for all pending events falling within a given period
