66.6 ETX-G Scenes Editor

You can switch from Graphics Editor to Scenes Editor by clicking on the Scenes Editor tab.

In Scenes Editor, you can create new scene assets or modify existing assets in a similar way as described in Graphics Editor.  Before creation, an asset type property, "ETXS", must be defined in the "Type" properties. 

  • Manage Thumbnail
    You can create and add a thumbnail to the asset in the Thumbnail panel.

    • Use the<Acquire> button to get the thumbnail from the preview window.
    • Use the <Clear> button to remove the selected thumbnail from the thumbnail window.
    • Upon selecting the thumbnail, use the Save button in the top bar to save it and apply it to the asset, or click the Cancel button to undo the selected thumbnail.

    WARNING: The saved thumbnail will be copied to the scene folder when saving the scene.

  • Add New Scene
    Simply click on the “New” menu to create a new scene.

    •Name: Enter a name for the new scene object.

    •Type: Select the asset type as “ETX Scenes”.  Only object types with ETX Scene and ETX Graphics would be listed.

    •Codec: Select a supported codec “ETXS” as defined in Type properties.  Only codecs with types ETXS and ETXG would be listed.
    Click the <Ok> button to confirm the creation of the scene asset.
    If you click the Live button on the right panel, you can set the size of the first picture that would be added to the program.

    In the General and Live section, set the display size and the position of the live window PiP, the Live Source and the Audio Level.

    In Device source, you can select a local hardware device as the input source, e.g. Decklink SDI, rather than selecting NDI Router.

  • Schedule Scenes 
    Before you can add scenes to the schedule, the STMan feature Secondary Events plug-in must be running to support the transmission.
    In Etere Scheduling or Media Library, simply add scenes to the playlist with the add secondary events function in the ETX-G tab as explained in Executive Editor.

  • Manage Image File
    Like Graphics Editor, you can manage or edit the images in Scenes Editor.

    In the File section, locate the image file stored in the local or network folder.
    In the right panel, click the button and edit the image file.
