Resource Configuration

59.6.2.52 NEXIO resource editor - Channel

From here, it is possible to define the configuration of the single LEITCH channel.
The first part is merely descriptive and shows data previously assigned:
•Code: the path of the resource you are editing is displayed
•Type: shows the resource type
•Number: indicates the ordinal number that identifies that resource in case others of the same type coexist.
•Name: description of the resource you are editing (in this case, the suffix CH-no. of the channel is added)
The second part allows you to set the connection and use mode of the channel:
•Driver - NEXIO if controlled via serial, NEXIOIP if controlled via IP, LEITCH for the VR440
Channels -
✓Video In Display the n. of input channels you wish to use, considering they begin from n.1 onwards.
(0=not used) The input channel is usually shown just in case you need to record.
✓Video Out: Display the n. of output channels you wish to use, considering they begin from n.1 onwards.
(0=non usato) The output channel must be shown if the intention is to revise the recorded video files.
NB: The Nexio manages one channel at a time, either encoder or decoder; therefore, set only one with the correct number, leaving the other at 0.
E/E
-It is also possible to set E\E for single channels. This is necessary for those systems for which an automatic E/E is not provided. It allows, during ingest, to simulate an E\E via software with an eventual router connected, that is, in REC to send the source output ( VTR ) onto the monitor, and in PLAY, to reput the videoserver output on the monitor.
Proxy address board
If you have a video acquisition proxy board directly connected to the channel, set the IP address related to the PC on which the board has been installed (ES.: 195.122.231.145).
The local port should have a value between 6501 and 6509.
If you don't have that kind of board, or if it isn't fixed to the channel, leave the two boxes blank.
NEXIO resource editor - Channel User
After indicating which user and which software the resource has to be installed for, you have to set other data:
In the case of the NEXIO driver, that is, the channel controlled via serial indicates the data of the com:
•Com n. - Show the number of com of the PC to which the videoserver is connected.
•Com configuration:
✓Baudrate- 38400
✓Parity- Odd
✓Databits- 8
✓Stopbits- 1
(Com data are fixed as listed above. The machine Com must be set with the same default values)

Router
Input: Indicate the output channel on the router to which the resource input is connected. (-1=not managed)
Output: Indicate the input channel on the router to which the resource output is connected. (-1=not managed)
Monitor: Indicate the output channel on the router to which a prospective monitor is connected. (-1=not managed)
422
Device (out): Indicate n. of devices which should be activated when the resource is opened. (-1=not managed)
Controller (in): Indicate the number of controllers that should be activated when the resource is opened. (-1=not managed)
(Only in the particular case where there is a central router which allows one also to commute the serial ones, set the data listed above to 422)
