84.2.5.2 Changes Approval - Settings

The Parameters section of the "Changes Approval" tool allows setting the following schedule checking options:

Scheduled Events (Set the parameters related to how to identify and manage all primary events involved in the changes:)

Parameter: Identify the events in the schedule by
Description
: Select the field(s) to be used as reconciliation key to identify and match events:

ExternalID - Events with the same "ExternalID" will be considered the same.

ExterSTRID - Events with the same "ExterSTRID" will be considered the same.

Code,ScheduledDate,ScheduledTime - Events with the same "Code", "Scheduled date" and "Scheduled time" will be considered the same (all three fields must match).

Parameter: Delete events without reconciliation key
Description:
If disabled (as default), only those events with a valid reconciliation key (i.e. the field specified above) will be included in the processing of changes. Instead, if enabled, all events without a reconciliation key will be included and marked to be deleted.
For example, if this option is disabled, and the reconciliation key is set to be the 'ExternalID' field, only those events with an 'ExternalID' will be included in the events list.

Parameter: Check only the following types
Description
: Use this option to filter events by their type, only selected types will be displayed and subsequently modified. This option is specially useful if you intend to check only certain asset types (e.g.: commercials) without touching another scheduled events.

Parameter: Data subject to change
Description:
Select all those properties of primary events expected to be changed and for which the delta analysis (i.e. detection of differences) will be performed.

Secondary Events (Set the parameters for the identification and management of changes on secondary events)

Parameter: Check also secondary events
Description:
Enable this feature to manage -besides the changes of primary events- also the events related to secondary events (e.g. imported using the XML import function).

Parameter: Identify secondary events in the schedule by
Description:
Select here the property to be used for identifying secondary events. The only available property is the External ID field which is an integer greater than zero (stored in the TSEC table as a unique element).

NB: Please note that in case of checking changes on imported secondary events, the reconciliation key (i.e. externalID) must had been specified by the import, otherwise it will not be possible to identify any change present on secondary events.
