The Purchase Orders module is the place where programs rights are properly managed, this module allows defining purchasing orders where a supplier gives the station the rights of transmitting copyrighted single programs (e.g. movies) and season of programs (e.g. TV season) in return to an agreed prepaid/postpaid payment under specific conditions (e.g. dates, territories, etc).
Through the use of purchasing orders, Etere BMS provides monitoring of the rights status of single and multiple assets, giving the station total control over a rights management process which mainly consist in the following procedure:
1 - Define programme's licensing rights into purchasing orders, stored in the database and shared to other Etere modules.
2 - Every time an asset belonging to a purchase order is scheduled, its licensing rights are checked to determine if it can go on-air.
3 - Licensed assets scheduled across on-air playlists can be tracked, paid and consulted through accurate reports.
Broadcast rights integration
The Purchase Orders module is fully and exclusively integrated into the Season Orders, Season Scheduler and Strategic Editor applications, therefore, other scheduling applications (e.g. Season Scheduler, Manual Scheduler, Air Sales Scheduler) will not support BMS rights during their programming phase.
