What is Robotics Control?
Etere HSM - Robotics Control manages the requests coming from 'HSM Headquarters' at 'HSM Data Pump', e.g. the movement of the tapes between the drive and the slot, or information on the supply of the tapes in the slots or in the drives. Etere HSM - Robotics Control must be installed on the server that controls the library.
Etere HSM - Robotics Control is capable of controlling the library if the driver vendor is installed (by means of SCSI commands to the driver), and if it isn't, it will control the library with SCSI pass-through commands.
