Action Description
The "HSM Archive" action allows requesting the Etere HSM Headquarters to upload all the assets corresponding with a particular codification from the selected asset form to a specific meta device into the Tape Library.

Suggestion
To increase the reliability and security of the archiving process, it's strongly suggested to include the following actions in your archive workflow:
Before the file is archived
Use a Generate action to generate an MD5 file hash immediately after a file is approved for archiving.
After the file is archived
Use an MD5 Check action to verify the MD5 consistency of the file stored in the HSM Cache. Depending on the result, perform one of the following actions:
•MD5 is ok: The T-workflow can go on normally
•MD5 is not ok: The file can be removed from HSM Archive, and an alert can be sent to the supervisor

T-workflows containing HSM archive actions can be consulted and monitored from Etere HSM Headquarters under the dedicated "workflows" section.
Action Parameters
The fields to be compiled when creating the action are detailed below:
Parameters
Name - Insert a short descriptive name for the action (e.g. "Archive proxy on tape").
Select device - Insert the destination (e.g. ClipLQ),
Select codec - Select the extension(s) (i.e., codecs) that files in the selected device must be restored.
