Microsoft SQL Server

2.11 Install Etere

Before you start installing Etere, there are just a few requirements:

  1. An internet connection
  2. an up-and-running SQL server
  3. the zip file for the Etere install
  4. your Etere licence

Our team will provide both Etere install, and the licence will be provided to you by our team.

After you've acquired those, you can:

  1. Launch Etere install
  2. Locate the zip
  3. Leave all in default and continue
  4. Etere checks and automatically installs Microsoft libraries required for Etere to function appropriately and accepts their terms and conditions to proceed.
  5. Choose modules you need, where configuration is mandatory and required for everyone. (only the ones included in your licence will work.)
  6. Wait until Etere installs all the requested modules
  7. Once done, open the Etere configuration
  8. Now, you can start to connect to your SQL server

After you've connected to your SQL server, you can now create a Database.

  1. Open config
  2. Run as admin
  3. Enter your SQL server name
  4. Click on the magnifying lens next to the DB name.
  5. In the pop-up menu, enter the Database name if you previously created it; if not, you can enter the desired name, and Etere will automatically create a new one.
  6. After you choose your parameters (if it doesn't open automatically), run System Maintenance from Etere's configuration module.
  7. Leave the check on the main DB structure on and leave the rest off, as they're only needed in later operations when Etere is running, and continue.
  8. This will take a few minutes; leave it running, and don't close the app or restart the machine.
  9. When done, you'll be prompted to enter your Etere licence, previously given to you by our team.
