Resource Configuration

59.6.2.114 Nextore resource editor - Channel

Here, you can define the configuration of the single Nextore Grass Valley channel.
The first part is merely descriptive and shows data previously assigned:
•Code: The path of the resource you are editing is displayed
•Type: Shows the resource type
•Number: Indicates the ordinal number that identifies that resource in case others of the same type coexist.
•Name: Description of the resource you are editing (in this case, the suffix CH-no. of the channel is added)
The second part allows you to set the connection and use mode of the channel:
•Driver - Fixed: Nextore
•Channels
✓Video In Indicate the input channel no. You want to use, keeping in mind that they start from no. 1 (0=not used). The input channel is usually indicated only if you have to record.
✓Video Out: Indicate the output channel no. You want to use, keeping in mind that they start from no. 1 (0=not used). The output channel has to be indicated if you want to see the video files recorded in Nextore.
In practice, set both video in and video out for an ingest channel, while for a play channel, set video out only.

E/E
You can set the E\E for each channel. This is useful for systems without an automatic E\E. This allows you to simulate, during ingest, an E\E via software with a possible connected router. This means sending the source exit (VTR) to the monitor during the REC phase and returning the videoserver exit to the monitor during the PLAY phase.

Proxy Address Card
If you have a proxy video acquisition card directly connected to the channel, set the IP address relative to the PC where the card is (e.g., 195.122.231.145).
The value of the local port must be included between 6501 and 6509
If you do not have such a card, or if the card is not fixed to the channel, leave the two boxes blank.

Nextore Resource Editor - Channel User
After indicating which user and which software the resource has to be installed for, you have to set other data:
•Com no.: Indicate the PC com number Nextor is connected to.
•Com configuration:
✓Baudrate - 38400
✓Parity - Odd
✓Databits - 8
✓Stopbits - 1
(Set the com with the above data. The Nextore com must have the same values as the default ones.)
Video router
✓Input: Indicate the router output channel the resource input is connected to (-1=not installed)
✓Output: Indicate the router input channel the resource output is connected to (-1=not installed)
✓Monitor: Indicate the router output channel to which the prospective monitor is connected. (-1=not installed)
422
✓Device (out): Indicate the no. of devices to be installed when you open the resource.(-1=not installed)
✓Controller (in): Indicate the no. of the controller to be installed when you open the resource. (-1=not installed)
(Only in the special case where you have a centralized video router which allows you also to commute serial ports, set the data referred to above to 422)
