59.2.40.7 Parental Guidance

The Parental Guidance section enables stations to define a television content rating system according to specific country laws (or criteria); these ratings will allow scheduling operators to automatically control programs to be aired at a specific time or within a certain program.
Moreover, you can define a list of parental guidance ratings and the related rules that would define the allowance of scheduling the programs in the broadcast playlist.

The content provided in this chapter has been divided into the following sections:

Guidance Ratings - Configure custom parental guidance restrictions.
Custom Consumer Advices - Define custom consumer advice.
Using Parental Guidance - Associate parental guidance ratings to assets.
Notes:
Default parental guidance ratings (e.g. Mature 15+) and consumer advice (e.g. Some violence) are automatically loaded into the database by the system maintenance, according to the country set in the system settings.
The configuration of parental guidance ratings is valid exclusively for the current station (e.g. channel 01); therefore, it must be configured for each station according to their specific requirements.
