Etere Shopping Cart is a component of the Etere web module implemented inside EtereWeb. This web portal allows authenticated users to browse assets from the archive and create request tickets to execute a set of processes (e.g. conform and download) against master clips (entire assets) or sub-clips (partially restored or confirmed). For example, the Etere Shopping Cart web portal can be used to automate the request, evaluation and preparation of files intended to be downloaded from the media archive.
New ticket->Add assets(master clips or sub-clips)->Pre-process->Processes->Completed
Step-by-step tracking
As shown above, the Shopping Cart is based on tickets; by creating a new ticket, users can automatically perform a series of processes for many assets. Each time a key is submitted, all its configured processes are triggered to complete all the operations required to fulfil the request.
Processes can be any Etere T-workflow-based operation, including Resources Management actions assigned to supervisors to grant/deny download permissions and Data Mover actions to automatically retrieve, transcode, transfer and carry out any media operation.
For functionality, see the Shopping Cart chapter in the EtereWeb module.
