72.5 Metadata Indexing

What is Cataloguing?
Adding metadata is a quite important part of the T-workflow as it is crucial to enable retrieval of  the  available  content  in  all  other  stages  of  the content  life cycle. Etere allows users to catalog assets by adding metadata at the following levels:

❑Clip level (e.g. title of a soccer game)

❑Segment
level (e.g. sequence showing a goal, indicating if desired the players involved in the goal)

❑Key frame level
(e.g. time at which advertisement can be inserted)

Etere allows authorized users to enter metadata either before ingest (into a placeholder created for a expected asset) or after ingest (to validate pre-entered metadata, modify metadata or add more metadata) while browsing  a low or high resolution  material. Moreover, automatic entering of metadata is also supported during ingest (importing descriptive XML files delivered along with video files).

Metadata Indexing
The Metadata Indexing module enables operators to easily capture relevant metadata associated to assets to make their retrieval easier and their later management more accurate.
With this software you can search and visualize media content, reviewing media content (entire assets or video segments) and enrich them with appropriate metadata including keywords, artist information and Flexi-metadata, just as shown in the following figure:

Video  Indexing

1.Search and browse low-resolution proxy media,

2.Create segments within a video to describe specific parts,

3.View segments and add rich metadata to catalog video content.

4.Log Changes on all segments of the EDL
