The "Scheduling Linker/Unlinker" utility searches for events within schedules, allowing to either link events to order lines or unlink them from their belonging order lines. This utility is useful to, for example, associate order lines to commercial events scheduled prior to their creation.
Both linking and unlinking scheduled events are tasks that can be easily accomplished through the following procedure:
1. Define the Mode and Filters
Define the mode in which the utility will be used as well as the filters that will narrow the search:
Mode
Operating mode - Specify the mode in which this tool should operate, it can be used for:
Link - Associate order lines to events not yet belonging to any order
Link events logo not linked to a contract - Link event logo associated but yet to link to an Order lines.
Unlink events logo linked to a contract - Dissociate an event logo incorrectly linked to an Order lines.
Unlink - Dissociate events already belonging to an order line (with linked assets)
Filters
Period - Indicate the scheduling interval from which scheduled events will be retrieved.
Description - Enter the event description (or a part of it) to narrow the search to only those events matching it.
Code - Enter the event code (or a part of it) to narrow the search to only those events matching it.
Type - Indicate the event type (e.g. spot) to which scheduled events must belong in order to be retrieved.
Suggest order to link
Check order's validity period - If enabled, only order lines valid for the date on which events are scheduled will be suggested for automatic linking. Suggesed lines are displayed under the "line suggested for linking" column.
Check order's remaining runs - If enabled, only order lines with available runs will be suggested for automatic linking. In case the "Black list management" is enabled, order's black listed events will be considered as scheduled runs, therefore, they will be subtracted from the order's remaining runs.
NB: Please note that the "suggest order to link" section is available only for the "Link" operating mode.
2. Select the Events to be linked or unlinked
Once all filters have been compiled, press the [Search scheduled events], retrieved results will depend on whether you selected the link or unlink mode:
Link - The list will retrieve all events not yet belonging to any order that match the given search filters, displaying the following information for every retrieved event:
columns legend
Asset title - Title of the scheduled event
Asset code - Code of the scheduled event
Sch. date - Date on which the event is expected
Sch. time - Time at which the event is expected
Date and time - Actual scheduled date and time
Type - Type of the event's related asset
ID - ID of the suggested order line
Suggested line - Order line suggested for automatic link
Transmitted - Indicate the event transmission status
Notes - Description of secondary event (to be linked)
NB: The "line suggested..." is the latest one linked to the event that matches the given filters (i.e. check validity and runs).
Select events to be linked by ticking them off, the choose between an automatic or manual linking:
link order lines
Automatically - Enable the "automatically link suggested lines" parameter to associate all selected events to their suggested lines. Selected events without suggested lines won't be linked.
Manually - Disable the "automatically link suggested lines" parameter to associate all selected events to the order line selected by the user through the [Search] button.
NB: Each selected event will be linked only if the order line in question has available runs, otherwise, no link will be done.
At this point, just press the [Link] button to start linking selected events either manually or automatically.
NB: Every time an event is linked to an order line, the event's related asset is added into the "Assets list" of the linked order line.
Link events logo not linked to a contract - When it is enabled, if there are scheduled events with logo associated but not link to an order, enable this option to automatically link the events logo to the order.
You can also manually link events logo if the order line having the same logo, same validity range period and available runs. The list of available events logo are displayed for selection.
Unlink events logo linked to a contract - In the event when secondary event logo was incorrectly linked to an Order, by enabling this option you can unlink the event logo from the specific Order.
If you had select an already transmitted event, you would be prompt to confirm the action.
If you attempt to unlink events with generated CP, a pop-up warning message would be prompt.
If you choose to proceed with the unlink operation the event would be disconnected and the CP would be marked in red as invalid CP.
Unlink - The list will retrieve all events already belonging to an order line (with linked assets) that match the given search filters, displaying the following information for every retrieved event:
columns legend
Asset title - Title of the scheduled event
Asset code - Code of the scheduled event
Sch. date - Date on which the event is expected
Sch. time - Time at which the event is expected
Date and time - Actual scheduled date and time
Type - Type of the event's related asset
ID - ID of the suggested order line
Linked line - Order line currently linked to the event
Select events to be linked by ticking them off, then, press the [Link] button to start unlinking selected events.
NB: Unlinked events can be re-linked to a different order line just by using this utility in "linking" mode.
3. Consult the Log of operations
At the end of the linking/unlinking process, all actions executed during the process will be logged in the log file.
In the log, the date and time format is captured as dd/mm/yyyy, hh:mm:ss.ms.
Start time: 11:13:07
Schedule: Schedule of 11/01/2013 michael
Block: Day time

All operations performed by this utility are also recorded in the linked/unlinked order's log, this, through the "view events log" function.
