Logging is an important function, available in all Etere forms. Log files contained all task traces executed by the application, their interaction, and interaction between software and other devices connected to the software. Log files are very helpful in trouble-shooting and problem-solving.
All logs are located in the local directory ([drive]:[etere_installation_folder]\ log\user.00X\), named as EtereLog, and it is accessible from all workstations in the network.
In the form where "Save Log" tools is available, logs are compressed into zipped file and saved in the Etere local installation directory ("\LocalDisk\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Etere\Log\saved" folder). The zipped file name consisting of: [ModuleName], [Username], [PCName], [Date-time].zip (where date=yymmdd, time=hhmmss, e.g. nunzio.feeds.agent,u001,sgy-pcs004,170829-155312.zip). The zipped file can be sent automatically to Etere ftp web site, reserved for customer assistance, when you open the rescue log window, tick on the option 'upload automatically file on the Etere ftp site ' to upload the zipped file. If you need to change the FTP address, you can change the FTP address in ftputils.ini, located in Etere local installation directory ([drive]:[etere_installation_folder]\).
NB: When saving log files using the “Save Logs” tools, the program saves the log files in the system without taking into account the date directories and folders.
