The information displayed in the first part is merely descriptive and shows previously assigned data:
•Code: the path of the resource that you are editing is displayed
•Type: shows the resource type
•Number: indicates the ordinal number that identifies that resource in case others of the same type coexist.
The user must enter the following information:
•Name description of the resource you are editing.
•Driver, fixed KRAMER.
(The EtereSW driver is not used any longer, and it has been kept only for a matter of compatibility with past installations)
•Model: choose a model among the available ones.
If the model is not included in the list, choose GENERIC and indicate the number of Inputs and Outputs of your model (this is the only case in which you have to set these parameters).
•Channel's number: insert the number of the router's inputs and outputs.
•Router switching levels: Some routers allow the determination of switching levels, that is, defining what has to be switched (Audio only, Audio and Video, Video only, serial port, etc.). If your router offers this option, levels can be set here. In Etere, you have three kinds of switching: AUDIO/VIDEO, SERIAL PORT, and TIMECODE and for each, you can determine the levels to be installed.
example: if, on your router, Video corresponds to level 1 and Audio corresponds to level 2, you must activate levels 1 and 2 in the AUDIO/VIDEO box
if the switching of a possible serial port corresponds to level 4, activate level 4 on the SERIAL PORT box
(if your router does not offer this possibility, leave all levels installed)
Kramer VS-1616SDI resource editor - User
After indicating which user and which software the resource has to be installed for, you have to set other data:
Com port setting:
The video router can be controlled directly through a serial connection (in this case, you have to set the com number) or through UDP with the ETERESARVAJI software (in this case, you have to indicate the IP address of the PC that EtereSarvaji runs on and the Local Port which EtereSarvaji uses.
Com configuration:
The com is configured with the default following parameters:
Baud: 9600
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Data bits: 8
Backup Router
If you wish to manage another router as the Backup router, activate this option and insert com data,
or leave the option blank.
The backup router must be completely THE SAME as the main one.
