Navigating to Etere HSM - Headquarters > Configuration > Option, it is possible to set the following parameters:
SCHEDULING
Check operations to be scheduled - Set the time interval between expected operations checking.
Workflow check - Set the time interval (in seconds) for monitoring requests performed via T-workflow for archiving/restoring specific assets (see the Workflow operations chapter).
Check Robotics servers master/clone status - Enable this parameter to use HSM Headquarters to monitor the HSM Robotics servers and warn in case of missing communication.
By default, this parameter is disabled.
Data Format for new Tapes - To start using AXF format for Etere HSM tapes, set this configuration option to default as "AXF" format when HSM Headquarters is launched. If this option is not set, it would be defaulted to "AXF' format.
All new tapes will be written in AXF format with these configuration settings. If the recordings already contain data in another format (e.g. EXF, LTFS), it would continue to be written in the existing format (e.g. EXF, LTFS).
The format written in tapes can be seen in the Media section of HSM Headquarters.
WORKING QUEUE
Number of displayed operations - Set the maximum number of operations shown in the working queue.
Auto refresh - Set the interval (in seconds) between one 'working queue' refresh and another.
Decreasing order - Tick it off to sort operations in decreasing order.
Delete operations older than - Use it to automatically delete those operations which are more than 'X' days in the working queue.
To carry out daily at - Indicate the exact time the deletion of older operations will be performed.
Delete now - Clears the entire working queue; be careful when using this option.
Media
Max. records per page - Specify the maximum number of data to be recorded on each page.
RESTORE
Default restore path - Select if restored media should be restored in one of the following paths:
Data pump cache (default) - The archived file will be restored in the data pump cache set under the DataPump configurations. Please note that files can be moved to any other device using the proper T-workflow actions once restored.
Source path - The archived file will be restored to the file from which it was initially archived (e.g. a video server). Please note that if a file to be restored is already present in the source path but is set as unavailable, the restore operation will be scheduled anyway but for being performed into the data pump cache.
BACKUP
Write the material's XML as a tape header - If enabled, Etere Data Pump will include an XML containing the asset data in the tape header; otherwise (if disabled), the XML file won't be included.
DATA PUMP
Attempts to re-run a failed operation - Set the maximum number of times Etere HSM would try to perform unsuccessful operations. Each time an archive or restore operation fails, Etere Data Pump would re-queue the job with a lower priority for the number of times specified in this parameter. The default value is set to 10 re-runs.
Check Up
Max. number of log files to create - Specify the number of log files to be created when logging Headquarters operations. Creating more log files prevents the log file from being overwritten by a long processing job and enables it to be retained over a certain period for investigation purposes.
Note: Changing this option would affect all HSM modules; you need to restart HSM modules to effect the changes.
Enable SNMP Sending - Tick off this option to allow Etere HSM to send messages about its functioning to the SNMP console.
Time interval to send the same SNMP message - The number of minutes to wait before sending an SNMP message containing the same information (e.g., in case of redundant errors).
MONITOR
Auto Refresh - Set the interval (in seconds) between one 'monitoring' refresh and another.
