Export Scope
The Export Custom DALET for ABS-CBN XML export an xml file containing the assets playlist based on 4 different scenarios described below. Each scenario would generate an output xml file stored in the corresponding export path (from top to bottom) listed in the Export form.
In the XML files, it contain the required metadata fields of the playlist:
•COD_PROGRA (Asset code)
•DESCRIZIO (Asset description)
•ASPECT (Aspect ratio, e.g. 4=4:3 SD, 4LB=4:3 Letterbox, 9=16:9 SD, H=HD)
•REFDURATA (Reference duration in “HH:MM:SS” format)
Media Quality Check
The Quality Check verify the media content and return a status value of “0 – 9” for DALET notification.
Where the main possible QC status are,
•Quality 0 – Indicate the media is REJECTED and not ready for playback.
•Quality 1 – Indicate the media has failed the Quality check. The reason of failure (e.g. audio problem, video problem, incorrect format, file corrupted) would be indicated by the preview operator.
•Quality 9 – Indicate the media is ACCEPTED and ready for playback.
Scenario # 1
The assets does not exist, it is created and the files is linked.
The assets exists, but there is no link to the video files, the files is linked.
An XML file would be generated in Export path # 1.
Scenario # 2
The assets exist, it also has the linked files.
The media quality check status is “0”.
An XML file would be generated in Export path # 2.
Scenario # 3
The assets exist, it also has the linked files.
The media quality check status is “1”.
An XML file would be generated in Export path # 3
Scenario # 4
The assets exist, it also has the linked files.
The media quality check status is “9”.
An XML file would be generated in Export path # 4
NB: In all scenarios, the media file must be accompanied with a descriptive file with the same name and “.xml” extension, if the descriptive file is not present, the video file would not be processed.
NB: If the export is launched by ActiveSync, the assets would be exported based on Scenario 2 without taking asset’s “Quality Check” status into consideration.
Export Parameters
Export_custom_dalet_for_abs_cbn_xml
Parameter:
•Export path:Indicate the destination path where the exported XML file would be stored based on the scenario. The extension of the exported file is set to “.xml” in-force.
When the export is trigger manually, an “.xml” output file would be parked at the destination path. If the export process is triggered by Data Mover action (e.g. Multistep Copy) an additional “.xml” file would be created in the user specified path defined in the Data Mover action.
NB: The creation of respective XML file in the 4 Export paths (from top to bottom) are corresponding to the 4 scenarios described in the Export Scope.
Parameters of the asset’s linked file to be exported
•Codec: Indicate the codec used for the asset’s linked file.
•Cloud-device: Indicate the cloud-device used for the asset linked file.
❑Export as LIVE
Enable this option in order to manually export asset not marked as Live event in scenario # 4 to be aired as LIVE event by selecting an event type in “Label to be exported in the Tag <LIVE_Play> in the case of a Live event” box. The available selection of Live events are:
•STUDIO_LIVE = live event played in ABS Studio
•POST_PLAY = asset played by ABS POST
•TOC_PLAY = asset played in TOC but not using the video server
Upon export, an XML report would be created and parked in Export path # 4.
•Select assets to be exported: By click on this button it launch and asset search form where you can filter assets from database and select the assets you wish to export.
When all parameters are defined, click the <Save Parameters> to confirm the settings.
Launch the Export
You can start the export process by click on the <Export> button.
