55 Etere Aligner

Etere Aligner is an application that keeps the published schedule (stored in the SQL database) constantly synchronized with the automation one (stored in a local independent database); this is important as broadcast timings can vary from those in the published schedule:

Once Etere Automation is launched, Etere Aligner automatically starts comparing and aligning the published schedule with the automation one, as shown in the following diagram:

Etere Aligner provides stations with the following key features to effectively manage broadcast schedules:

•It reads the broadcasted schedule in Etere Automation and makes sure the relevant published program is consistent in the SQL database; else, update it if necessary to ensure complete synchronization.

NB: The query command made to the SQL database is set at 180 seconds; if there is no response from SQL within 3 minutes “Query timeout expired” error will be returned.

•It allows for periodic publishing of the schedule in Executive Editor with no manual involvement required.
