72.2.1.7 Searching asset - Search Parameters

The Search tab is composed by a series of parameters which form its interface layout, this layout can be freely modified and is valid for all users of the same station. Filters present in this section are distributed (and categorized) along five panels, the categories are:

Standard * - This panel is shown by default including some main filters (ID, Code, Description, Type, LIVE, Workflow, Search also expired assets, External ID) which are customizable. - Extended *
This panel is hidden by default, when added, it's empty and customizable.

Custom - It allows to filter assets by its type of operations and process performed on the assets within the specific date range.

You can search for assets matching following categories:

• Assets: Select this option to search all asset types in database matching the search criteria;

• Memory: This option only filter recording files created by Etere Memory with asset type “MEMO” in database matching the search parameters;

• All: Select this option to search the database for all assets matching the above two options.

Flags * - This panel is hidden by default, when added, it's empty and customizable;

Full-text - This panel provides a google like search to look for assets across multiple tables (i.e. assets, seasons, segments, artists, genres, roles, metadata, subtitles, documents, etc) in case the database is properly indexed;

All - Search all filters which are not used in any other panels.

* The Standard, Extended and Flags panels can be freely customized, for instance, based on the category of available filters.

Launching the search
In order to perform a search just specify the filters to be used to retrieve assets and press the 'Search'
WARNING: By default, all filters are disabled (empty or unchecked), in case you compile or tick them off they will automatically turn active.

Cleaning all fields for a new search
It is possible to clean all fields and perform a new search by pressing the 'Reset' button present beside the search button, or right-click on any of the search tabs and selecting either the clean data (Ctrl+Alt+C) or the clean data and set all stations option.

Auto-saved filters

Etere Media Library stores the filters template used the last time, the stations enabled and the active filters, it will automatically load the 'last used' template each time the operator access the search area.
