Action Description
This action template allows creating an action that queries the system to determine if the tape (e.g. tape462) that contains a specific asset codec file (e.g. 312.wmv) is present in the tape library. Depending on the system response, the action will indicate that the tape is online, offline or doesn't exist in HSM.
Note: If a media pool has been previously set by a "set hsm archiving media pool" action, online verification will be performed against it. If not specified, all media pools will be considered.
Note: If the asset is linked to multiple files of the same codec, the action will check if at least one linked file is archived in an online tape.
Action Parameters
To create it, complete the following data:
General info
Name - Enter a descriptive title for the action (e.g. WMV file is online in HSM?),
Select codec - Specify the codec for which the check will be performed.
How to use it
The "Asset file is online in HSM" actions can be included in T-workflow -under the T-Workflow designer- to, for example, check if an asset's archived file is available for restoration.
