Besides providing a physical redundancy for disaster recovery, many advantages and feasibilities can be archived using Etere Disaster Recovery:
1. Disaster Recovery Automation
Etere Disaster Recovery can be installed alongside the Etere Automation module; it enables configuring the disaster recovery to be performed on auto mode or manual activation; this feature would allow the user to align the file synchronization between the central server and backup server.
2. Copy Scheduling Playlist
Using Etere Scheduling in disaster recovery enables users to replicate a specific scheduling playlist from one station to another and continue with the playlist. During replication, the user can set the priority in the schedule according to the timeline.
3. Different capacity on the DR Site
The capacity of the backup server is not necessary to match the central server, as the primary role would be to switch back to the main server when the primary server is recovered from the system crash.
4. Independent of DR Site
After the DR site is deployed, it can be run independently from the primary site. The synchronization of files from the primary site to the DR site can be automated, and the DR site can be managed via remote access.
5. Archive on the DR Site
The archival system at the DR site can be independent of the primary site; as a result, both areas would have identical sets of updated files after synchronization. Moreover, during synchronization, the application can delete the destination file to avoid repetition.
