72.2.1.12 Searching asset - Available Filters

This chapter explain the most relevant filters provided by the Etere search engine, filter listed here can be freely customized as explained in the "Custom Layout" chapter along the Standard, Extended and Flags search panels. According to their nature, filters can be classified as follows:
Filter categories
Base - Base descriptions about the asset:
 Id, code, title, type, stations, sites, genre, artist, etc.
Media - Media information regarding devices, files and processes:
 Duration, metadevice, codec, video file, T-workflows, worksheets, etc.
Dates - Date range on which specific asset operations have been performed:
 Production, ingest, creation, arrival, scheduling, validity start, expiry, etc.
Flags - Flags detailing specific asset properties:
 Ok to broadcast, live, expired, ingested, archived, inactive, not tapeless, etc.
With - Properties that indicates the existence of a certain object associated to the asset:
 Edl, video tape, data tape, subtitles, cad approval, detected blacks, etc.
Full-text - Special search performed simultaneously performed across multiple tables:
 Title, segments, artists, genres, roles, metadata, subtitles, documents, etc.
Below you will find all the available filters sorted in alphabetical order:

Add Flexi-metadata column - Adds flexi metadata column to the asset search results.
Agency - Filter all those assets set to be delivered by an specific external agency through Tapeless Reception.
Artist - The artist(s) who features in the asset' video content.
Archive location - Indicate the location where assets were archived.
Associated with a Data Tape - Restrict your search to only those assets which are currently linked to a Data Tape.
Associated with a Video Tape - By ticking off this filter, only the assets which have been associated to a Video Tape will be listed (or excluded).
Aspect - Specify here the aspect ratio of the retrieved assets (e.g. SD 4:3, SD 16:9, etc).
Aspect Ratio Conversion - Specify here the aspect ratio conversion used by the searched assets.
Audio - Select the type of audio (i.e. mono, stereo, dolby, etc) that assets must have in order to be retrieved.

Base path - Insert the metadevice path (or a part of it) in which are stored media files linked to assets intended to be retrieved.
NB: Please note that 'base paths' can be freely specified, they can be local, UNC, FTP, etc.

CAD approval - In case of searching assets approved by the Commercial Acceptance Division, enter here a part (or all) the code of the approval.
Classification (CL) - You can also restrict your search to only those assets which meet with the given restriction level.
Code - The MAIN code of the asset.
Codec - Filter your search by selecting specific asset codecs (e.g. wmv, mxf, mpeg, etc).
Consumer advice (CA) - Filter only those assets which features contents matching the selected advices.
Country - Filters by production country metadata.
Creation date - Indicate the date range on which retrieved assets must have been created.
Customer (orders) - Retrieve all assets included in sales orders/proposals related to a given customer.

Date of arrival - Is the date on which the media meant to be linked to the asset should arrive, the Tapeless Reception's scheduled arrival.
Data tape code - Select the code of the Data Tape(s) to which the assets is belong to in order to be retrieved.
Data tape type - Limit your search to those assets which tape type is the one specified (e.g. LTO4, DLT, etc).
Duration - Refers the duration of the media associated to the asset.

Episode - Indicate the episode number that retrieved assets must have in order to be listed in the results area.
EPG language 1 / 2 - Display information related to TV guide.
Exclude assets on arrival via tapeless reception - All those assets which media is expected to be delivered via tapeless reception won't be included in the search.
Exclude types - By setting this filter, you will be allowed to exclude from your search all the asset which type is one of the selected ones.
Expiry date - Filter assets by the expiry date (i.e. since then they wont' be able to be scheduled).
External ID - Filter assets by entering the external ID assigned to the asset.
Event type - Indicate the asset's event type.
Event type (icon) - Indicate the asset's event type by icon.

Full path - Select the metadevice path in which the media files linked to assets intended to be retrieved are stored.

Genres - The genre of the asset (e.g. rock, pop, classic, etc).
Group by artist / genre / type / site - By enabling these filters, the user will be able to group retrieved assets as shown in the Search Results chapter.

Icon - Display the asset icon.
ID - The MAIN ID of the asset, it is its primary key.
Ingested assets - Enable it to filter only those assets which have at least one ingested media associated to them.
Inactive - Extract assets with inactive status.
Ingest date - Specify the date interval on which assets must have been ingested in order to be retrieved.
Ingest status - Restrict the search to only those assets which ingest state meet with the specified one.
Ingest list of - This filter search all assets which are intended to be ingested in a certain date.

Keys/Keyboards - Filter asset (e.g. story) by entering the keywords in the asset.

Last on-air date - Indicate the last on-air date when asset was scheduled.
Link - Filter assets that link to parent, linked child assets, or vice versa.  For example, you can filter
•Asset with parent
•Asset with child
•Asset with links
Live - If selected, the search will be carried out only amongst assets which type is 'LIVE'. Moreover, if the 'exclude' option is checked, live events won't be displayed in the results list.
Live channel - Indicate the channel where the Live event was shown.

Media - Indicate the media file in asset.

Next on-air date - Display the date for next event to be scheduled on-air.
Next on-air time - Display the time of day for next event to be scheduled on-air.
Non-ingested assets - Only assets which have not been ingested will be retrieved.
Not OK to broadcast - Finds all assets that have reached a 'not to be broadcasted' status in the T-workflow.
Notes - Include any addition information related to the asset.

OK to broadcast - Retrieve all the assets which have been enabled (either manually or by T-workflow) to be broadcasted.
Order (proposal) - Retrieve all assets included in a sales order/proposal matching a given code or description.
Order line - Retrieve all assets included in a specific line of a given sales order/proposal.
Original filename - Retrieve all assets featuring a file which original filename matches the one entered here.

Person in charge - Narrow your search by specifying the operator(s) whose in charge of tracking the tapeless reception of certain assets.
Physical start - Retrieve assets with physical start time matches the specific time.
Production date - Indicate the time interval on which retrieved assets must have been produced.
Production Country - Specify the country on which the assets to be retrieved must have been produced.
Production Year - Specify the year on which the assets to be retrieved have been produced.

Quality Check - Indicate the minimum quality value that an asset must have in order to be retrieved.
Quality date - Indicate the date when the quality check is performed.

Read-only - Extract assets with only Read access is granted.
Records displayed - Set the maximum number of assets per page to be displayed.
Requests - Use this filter to narrow the search to only those assets with certain web requests (e.g. metafile request) pending.
Reset columns configuration - Reset configuration performed on columns.
Role - Refers to the exact function that an artist have played on the creation of the asset.
Run status - Use this filter to narrow the search to only those assets which have been either broadcasted or never broadcasted.
Rundown number - Display the rundown number associated to the asset.
Rundown next on-air date - Display the next on-air date for the rundown.
Rundown last on-air date - Display the last on-air date for the rundown.

Season - Indicate the exact season number to narrow the search of a certain season.
Scheduling date - Narrow your search to only those assets which have been scheduled within the specified dates period; or either exclude them by enabling the related option.
Scheduled duration - Indicate the duration the asset was scheduled.
Scheduling for stations - Limit the search to the assets that have been scheduled within the selected stations.
If you are filtering assets created on specific station, you must use combination of “Stations Enabled > Exclusive” to fulfill the request.  Instead, if you use "Scheduling for Stations"> "Exclusive" it would filter assets in specific station but includes assets created from other stations.
Search also expired assets - Carry out the search amongst expired assets (i.e. outside its validity period) as well.
Search only expired assets - Narrow the search to only those assets which already expired  (i.e. outside its validity period).
Search also archived assets - Direct your search to those assets which are currently archived. Archived assets will be listed coloured with red and their asset cannot be opened.
Search only archived assets - The search will be performed only amongst assets which already archived.  Archived assets will be listed coloured with red and their asset form cannot be opened.
Search also inactive assets - The search will retrieve also inactive assets (i.e. assets which 'validity start date' is future date).
Search only inactive assets - Only those assets which are inactive (i.e. assets which 'validity start date' is future date).
Search also not enabled assets - The search will retrieve assets which are not enabled for the current station.
If this filter is enabled, you would need to enable the warning message “indicated event cannot be transmitted on station_name” in Executive Editor view to identify the assets are not enabled for current station, the assets would be marked with a triangle icon in Executive Editor.
Self-production percentage - Display the percentage if asset is self-production.
Season title - To perform the search only among the seasons which title matched the given title.
Site - Indicate the federated (external) Etere site to which the assets to be retrieved must belong. Please see the Federated Management chapter for further details.
Sort by - Set how results will be sorted.
Sponsor - The search will be performed on the sponsor field of the assets, which indicates if the asset has a start or end sponsorship.
Stations enabled - Restrict the search to only assets which are currently available for the selected stations. For instance, selecting station1 and station2, there will be retrieved only those assets enabled for both stations. Moreover, by using “Stations Enabled > Exclusive” option, it would retrieve only assets which are exclusively valid for the selected station (and not for other ones).
Story/Note/EPG - Insert the string(s) that must be contained on either the Story, Notes or the EPG fields of the assets that will be retrieved.
Supplier - Specify the agency who provided the asset to the station.
Supplier (ext-code) - Specify the agency by the external code assigned.

Tape Type - Limit your search to assets which tape type is the one specified (e.g. Beta, XDCAM, VHS, etc).
Title - You can insert a word that must be contained on the asset's description in order to be retrieved; being also possible to search all assets which title 'starts with' a certain string (enabled by default).
Note: When the “Starts with” option is disabled or enabled, it remains status quo each time the asset search function is starting and closing.
Timeout - Specify the maximum time (in seconds) that the search engine will wait for a response before stopping the search.  When the “timeout” value exceed, a “Query timeout expired” message would popup in search form and you can click the “Yes” option to increase the timeout value and resume the search function.
NB: When searching assets, the filtering of “Date of next on-air” and “Time of next on-air” require extensive system resources, you might want to remove these two columns from the search form to optimize the assets search function.
To be scheduled - Display assets yet to be scheduled.
Thumbnail - Display thumbnail in asset.
Types - The type of the asset (e.g. video clip, movie, etc).

 User 1, User 2... -  Additional information about the asset.

Validity start date - Set here the date from which retrieved assets must be valid.
Version - Indicate the version number if asset has multiple versions.
Video file - Narrow your search by specifying the name of the video file linked to the asset form that you are searching.
Videotape code - Select the code of the Video Tape(s) to which the assets belongs in order to be retrieved.
Virtual document - Extract virtual document related to asset.

With automatic blacks - Include in the search only those assets which contains at least one automatic 'garbage video' (i.e. segments marked to not be broadcasted).
With CAD approval
Only those assets with a compiled CAD approval will be retrieved during the search.
Without CAD approval - Only those assets without a compiled CAD approval will be retrieved during the search.
With EDL - Enable this filter to retrieve only assets with certain EDL (or all EDL'S) been compiled; It could also search for non-compiled EDL's by enabling the "not inserted" flag.
For example, enabling the "all EDL's" filter would retrieved all assets with all EDL's had been compiled.
With ROF work - Enable this filter to retrieve only assets compiled with SIAE's ROF data.
Without ROF work - Enable this filter to retrieve only assets not compiled with SIAE's ROF data.
With ROM work - Enable this filter to retrieve only assets compiled with SIAE's ROM data.
Without ROM work - Enable this filter to retrieve only assets not compiled with SIAE's ROM data.
With subtitles - Enable this filter to retrieve all asset either featuring subtitles in specific/all languages or without subtitles in specific/all languages. For example, enabling the "all languages" filter there will be retrieved all assets which counts with subtitles for all the supported languages.
Moreover, please note that subtitles filtering is also available through the advanced search.
Workflow - Set parameters (i.e. workflow, status, action, action-state, executed-by, start/end date) to retrieve only the assets with at least one T-workflow that meets criteria. See "Workflow Management" for detailed infomation.
Worksheet - Use this filter to retrieve only assets with a certain worksheet (e.g. subtitles generation) and/or a specific job status (i.e. All jobs, All available jobs, All my jobs, Only jobs undertaken by me, Only jobs assigned to me). Further information on worksheets can be found in the Work Orders Management chapter.

Note:
Notice that besides the standard search, it is also available a Full-Text search to carry out the search on the entire database (where all fields specified above are included) in just one go, without checking or compiling these filters. Consult the Searching Assets chapter for the relative information.
