An Etere system sets by default the television day of a station to start at midnight (i.e. 00:00:00) and last for 24 hours (i.e. 23:59:59,24 for PAL and 23:59:59,29 for NTSC); however, the rollover time parameter permits to set a custom start time for the television day of the station.
Etere uses the rollover time field (Etere Configuration | Settings | Basic Settings | System section) during the following processes:
Scheduling
When scheduling (using Etere Scheduling, Etere Air Sales, etc.), the programming schedule will be considered to start at the set rollover time and will last 24 hours (the time another programming schedule will start).
For example, if the station's rollover time is set to 06:00:00, the programming schedule of 31/01/2022 will start at 06:00:00 of 31/01/2022 and would end 24 hours later, at 05:59:59 of 01/02/2022; therefore, all events scheduled within this time range (e.g. 02:10:00 of the 01/02/2022) will be present in the schedule of 31/01/2022.
Invoicing
When invoicing (using Etere Air Sales), the financial day would start at the set rollover time and last for 24 hours (the time another financial day will start).
For example, if the station's rollover time is set to 06:00:00, the financial day of 31/01/2022 will start at 06:00:00 of 31/01/2022 and would end 24 hours later, at 05:59:59 of the 01/02/2022; therefore, all commercials transmitted within this time range (e.g. 02:10:00 of the 01/02/2022) will be included in the invoice of the 31/01/2022.
