Once the scheduling parameters have been defined, the proper management window will be loaded displaying all segments present in the selected period as well as all the event (derived from the current order line) scheduled within. This calendar-like tool will allow the operator to quickly and easily manage (view, move, delete and insert) scheduled events under a guided interface:
The calendar-like panel displays the blocks (and segments) present in the specified period as well as the events scheduled within the period. Cells are color-coded depending on their usage:
Empty space - No events derived from the current order line have been scheduled in the segment.
Scheduled space - There are events derived from the current order line scheduled in the segment, they can be either:
•Commercial spots (inserted according to the scheduling rules of the order line).
•Airtime top-ups (manually inserted to, for example, makegoods for the order line).
Scheduled events (both commercials and top-ups) can be moved by dragging and dropping to a different cell which accomplishes the event's scheduling criteria (i.e. period, runs, type, etc), otherwise, a warning message will point out any eventual conflict. Please note that moving top&bottom events is not possible due to its specific scheduling nature.
Contextual functions
The contextual menu, accessible by making right-click on a certain cell, provides operators with some scheduling functions depending on the selected mode (i.e. view or modify):
Assign Top-Up - In case the selected segment is empty, this function allows to insert an 'airtime top up' on the selected cluster (if empty).
For detailed information on top-ups see the Top Up chapter.
Assign Reservation (INS) - In case the selected segment is empty, this function allows to book the current order line within the selected empty space, only if the target space accomplishes the event's scheduling criteria (i.e. period, runs, type, etc), otherwise, a warning message will detail the conflict.
Insert Events From - In case the selected segment is empty, this function allows to insert events derived from the current order line which are currently stored in either Black lists (Ctrl+Alt+B) and White lists (Ctrl+Alt+W).
Delete Reservations (DEL) - Removes definitively the current selected reservation from the schedule.
Change into wrongly scheduled event - Indicate that the event must be ignored during the invoicing because it has been scheduled/transmitted by error (i.e. in a programming space different from the ones stipulated in its proposals/orders).
NB: For detailed information on the use of the "wrong transmission" status please refer to the "Prevent invoicing off-target events" chapter.
Change into pending event - Indicate that the event must be ignored during the invoicing, for instance, because it must be reassigned to a different order.
NB: For detailed information on the use of the "pending" status please refer to the "Prevent invoicing pending events" chapter.
Link pending event to another order - Reassign a pending event (i.e. modified through the "change into pending" function) to another order different from the its currently assigned one.
Here will be listed only those order lines matching the type and period of the order line currently assigned to the event.
NB: For detailed information on the use of the "pending" status please refer to the "Prevent invoicing pending events" chapter.
Restore event - Set back an event previously set as "wrongly scheduled" to "correctly scheduled".
Executive Editor (F7) - Opens the entire schedule of the day on which the selected event is contained.
On-Air Preview (F8) - Plays the proxy file related to the scheduled event.
View Cluster Content (F2) - Displays a small window containing a summary of the cluster's scheduling space, a list of all the events scheduled within the cluster and a pie chart representing the cluster's used percentage:
Unconfirmed Space - Space related to events which have been booked but not yet confirmed.
Confirmed Space - Space related to events which have been booked and confirmed.
Free Space - Space without events scheduled on it.
NB: Please note that the information provided by this function comprises all commercials/top-ups, derived from any order line and linked or not to an asset.
View Commercial Event Log - Opens the "Event Log" form which allows to view a list of all operations performed to the selected event.
Virtual Document (F11) - Link digital documents to the current event, digital documents can be retrieved from either the local PC, the network, a scanner or from the Etere's database (an already inserted document).
Segment Audience - Displays a list of the single audiences values requested and assigned, referring to the schedule's runs.
Grid Settings - Set the value of the "cell dimension" parameter (default=100).
Minimize Cell (F9) - Reduces the size which cells will be displayed.
Restore Default Cell Size (F10) - Set the size of cells to the default value specified in the "cell dimension" parameter.
Icons legend - Shows a brief description of all the icons displayed along with events:
