14.2 Tasks

Etere Agenda View provides an interface for managing available tasks presented in EtereWeb; you can zoom in on respective tasks to view the task data and digital document associated with the task.

AGENDA VIEW

To view a specific task, click on the task name under the Task column to view the task data properties associated with the selected task.

Task 1

In the Task Data view, besides the task properties and digital document attached to the task described in the previous chapter, a list of actions has been provided to retrieve the relevant information about the selected task.  

Task 2

If two users access the same task simultaneously without refreshing the Task list, the second user will receive a message indicating the selected task has been assigned.

In the Task view, the user would also notice that the ID of the specific task has been changed to "0" to prevent access to the task.

WARNING: If you want to customize the colour scheme of input fields in Task view, you can set the "Readonly control colour" variable when customizing the colour scheme:

OPEN ASSET

The Open Asset action opens the asset associated with the task; it provides details information about the asset where you can view and modify the asset properties.  You can refer to the Asset Features chapter for more details description.

FLEXI-METADATA

The Flexi-metadata action displays a list of flexi-metadata associated with the asset.

A list of flexi-metadata is displayed on the left panel; it shows the selected flexi-metadata's data properties on the right panel.

VIDEOFILE FLEXI-METADATA

Use this option to edit or set the flexi metadata of the current metafile.  Refer to the Technical Data chapter in Media Library for more information.

JOB INFO

The Job Info action displays the general information of the respective task.  The parameters in the job information are self-explanatory.

WORKFLOW INSTANCE

The T-workflow Instance action provides a graphical view of the selected T-workflow instance defined in the task.

T-workflow

The T-workflow displays all action blocks associated with the T-workflow; you can click on any action block to view the properties settings.

PREVIOUS TASK INFO

This action provides information for all tasks submitted before the current task.

Task 3

You can view the general information related to previous tasks, information includes:

  • Task Name: The name of the last tasks;
  • Status: The task status, whether the task was completed successfully, terminated by the user, or the task was aborted due to a specific reason;
  • Message: Any system message associated with the previous tasks is displayed;
  • Username: The name of the user who completes the previous task;
  • Hostname: The name of the workstation where the user signed off the task;

Execution: The date and time when the task was executed.
