Price lists are 100% user-defined and help stations to create strategic pricing levels based on position in cluster and scheduling type of the commercial event to which it is allocated. The Supervisor can create as many Price Lists as required, they can be related to the client type, to a program type, time-slots, or any required categorization.
Creating a Price List
To define a price list, simply follow the procedures described below:
1.Create a new price list by clicking the 'NEW' button and give the price list a descriptive name.
2.Specify its validity date by selecting a 'Start date' and an 'End date'.
3.Indicate if the price list should consider spot durations for calculating the price:
none - The price list would be used for calculating the price of all spots without taking into account of their duration.
table only - The price list would be used to calculate the price of spots based on their duration (i.e. greater spot duration = greater spot price). The [table] button allows to define the "price ratios" to be applied for specific duration intervals as accordance to the table shown below:
The toolbar icons are used for:
Remove a new "price ratio" from the table.
Remove the selected "price ratio" from the table.
Save all changes performed on the current table.
Apply the current table to other price lists.
For instance, in case of using the table above and a price list rate of $320, a spot lasting 10 seconds will cost $320 (i.e. $320 * 1.000); instead a 20 seconds spot will be priced $464 (i.e. $320 * 1.450).
5, 10, 15, ... 170 seconds - The price list would be used for calculating the price of only those spots which duration is greater than the value set here (in seconds). The maximum duration can be set is 3600 seconds (1 hour).
4.Click the browse button to select the “Type” of event associate with the price list. The price list consists of validity period, customer associated colour and schedule type. If there is no existing type associated to the price list, this parameter would be null and no changes in the price list calculation.
When associating a price list to type, take note that:
•Only block with a valid price list can be assigned.
•In a block with multiple price lists, only price lists enabled for specified block can be selected.
•If the line falls in multiple price lists, the unit computation would based on average value of the price lists
5.Insert any additional descriptive text in the 'Notes' field (optional)
6.The next step consist of defining classifications for every pricing level, each classification (i.e. color) belongs to a group of customers and it refers to a specific criteria such as sales-level (e.g. top active, medium active, low active, inactive, new customer), a time-slot (e.g. morning, lunch, afternoon, prime-time, night, daybreak), or any other criteria used by the station.
7.Each pricing level included five different prices which are related to the scheduling method to be used for programming events, these methods are:
•Top: Events placed at the top of the blocks.
•Bottom: Events placed at the bottom of the blocks.
•Priority: Events placed on certain block position that would remain consistent over the period of the proposal.
•Rotation: Events placed in a rotating manner so that they would feature in a different block position each time they are aired.
•Optimization: Events placed on the emptiest block.
8.By right-click on the Top field, you can 'assign it to all price list values' and set the same value for the bottom, priority, rotation and optimization prices.
Duplicating Price Lists
To duplicate a price list, simply click on the desired price list right click and select “Duplicate” from the menu and save the duplicated price list. The duplicated price list can be deployed to same station or other station.
