Scheduling events with Strategic Editor is a simple process; select the segment (cell) you want to schedule, right-click and choose the function to suit your needs.
Search Commercial Orders: Allows to manually insert commercial events from the list of available commercial order lines (i.e. commercial order lines that are still valid and have runs available). The operator can drag and drop from the list into any cell or double-click to insert into the pre-selected cell. If the selection contradicts the rules set, the program will prompt for confirmation.
Search all Assets: Allows inserting an asset not yet linked to a Commercial order. This can be done via the Tools > drop-down menu by selecting 'Insert single asset automatically'. Here, you can insert an asset at specific times or in particular blocks & segments over a user-defined time period.
Search available Rights: You can manually insert seasons from the Season Manager orders. If you attempt to insert a season, an asset or a commercial order into a segment with a different type, the program will prompt you for confirmation before proceeding.
With this option, you will see a list containing ONLY the events with available rights.
The "Search available Rights" feature has been enhanced to filter seasons by its asset code and asset title (the filter values are case sensitive). Once the filter values are provided, the search can begin by pressing the <Enter> key.
Asset Form: This lets you view the asset form linked to the event.
Seasons Event: If the currently selected cell contains a seasons episode, this option allows you to directly assign spaces and perform episode management, as described in the Scheduling a Seasons chapter.
Once the insertion of an event has been completed, you can easily copy and paste this insertion to another cell; this action and many more are described in the next chapter.
