202.2.4.57 What is a multi-product bumper?

What's a multi-product bumper?
A multi-product bumper is a single media related to multiple events, it's used to, for example, manage sponsored clusters (e.g. related to special shows, top raters, etc) composed of multiple events collated into a single file:

Using master and child lines

Multi-product bumpers can be defined in Etere as multiple child lines linked to a single master line representing the scheduled media:

Master line -
An multi-product order line used only to schedule a group of child lines collated in the same material.
Master  lines are related to multiple products (e.g. Emo clothes, S-phones, Shell, etc).

Child line -
The actual order line to be invoiced based the invoicing data specifically defined on it.
Child lines are related to a single product (e.g. Emo clothes).

As shown in the figure below, a master line is linked to multiple child lines (which are independently created), this approach permits the Scheduling department to schedule all "collated" events as a single bumper and the Billing department to generate invoices and certificate of performances specifically for each product:

Master line

Child line #1 (e.g. bee-beer)
Child line #2 (e.g. aerocondor)
Child line #3 (e.g. shell)
Child line #4 (e.g. colored cars)
Child line #5 (e.g. pain killer)
Child line #6 (e.g. emo clothes)

Note
Please note that air sales reports (e.g. booking confirmation, pre/post telecast times, scheduled segments fillers, account executive as-run, spot scheduled position, etc) will detail only child lines references, master lines will be omitted as they are used only for scheduling purposes.
