Block Editor

202.6.1 What is Block Editor

What is a block and what is it for?
A Block is a specific time interval where the contained assets are defined by specific parameters (principally 'type' and 'duration'). A block is divided in different segments and each segment has its individual allowances.
The use of blocks is very useful for creating templates which will improve the scheduling process, by allowing the station to carry out a semi-automatic or full-automatic scheduling process according to it needs.

The Block Editor
Etere Block Editor allows both the creation of new blocks and managing of existing blocks. The main screen is divided into two panels, the left panel lists all existing blocks (Available Time Blocks) and the right panel list the content of any chosen block (i.e. the segments that make-up the block and other relative information pertaining to the chosen block are displayed.)

•List of blocks: Displayed all the (not expired) blocks presented in the database.

•Block Editor: Allows to edit a block previously loaded from the "List of blocks" panel.

•Menu and toolbar: Available key functions related to the visualization of the list of blocks as well as the management of the editor.

NB: Please note that it is possible to modify blocks already placed into the weekly schedule.

Note: The blocks in the past cannot be delete from, or insert to the Schedule.  Error message would be prompted if attempt to do so.
