Etere Radio Live Engine Service, provides a more reliable and faster functioning, as well as a lesser consumption of resources.
In addition, the Software as a service (SaaS) is easily deployable on physical or virtual environments.
Its functioning it's the same as the old desktop application and the configuration has been moved to Etereweb settings, Radio Live Engine section.
However, compared to the desktop application, the following features have been added:
INGEST
Etere Radio Live Engine Service is capable of recording a live event which has the secondary event "Auto Recording" scheduled and properly configured. The ingest source can be taken from the Playlist render or the Mixer render. See chapter 18.4.6.8 Ingest for more information.
CLOSED CAPTIONS
The transmission of closed captions has been introduced in Engine Service. See chapter 18.4.6.9 Closed Caption for more information.
MASTER CONTROL
The Engine service is able to manage up to 2 inputs, defined as A and B, like the automation's master control channel in Etere resources. See chapter 18.4.6.10 Master Control for more information.
SCTE
SCTE detection has been implemented in Etere Radio Live Engine Service, allowing to receive SCTE-104, SCTE-35 and ANC signals. See chapter 18.4.6.1 Parameters for more information.
