202.7.4 SE on-click functions

Every time you select and right click on any cell (i.e. an segment which contains an event) it will bring up a menu (on-click menu) of various actions that can be carried out relating to the event in question, these actions are described below:

Function - Cut/Copy/Paste
Description : Move events around in the schedule. This can also be done using drag and drop.
•You can select multiple events, copy/cut the events and paste at the new location.
•When using drag-and-drop, only one event is allowed at one time.

Function - Select All
Description : Select all cells in the schedule.
 
Function - Delete event
Description : Remove the event(s) from the schedule, special cases includes:

Commercial event - In case the event in question belongs to a commercial order, you will be prompt to choose between:
•Delete only the selected event.
•Delete all events of the same batch within the day.
•Delete all events belonging to the same batch.
•Delete all events belonging to the same batch for this station (if various stations are enabled).

Exploded event - In case the event in question is a part of an exploded event, it will be possible to:
•Yes to all: Delete the selected part and all the other exploded parts (yes to all).
•No: Delete only the selected part.
•Cancel: Abort the deletion.

Function - View commercial event log
Description : In case the selected event belongs to an order, this function displays a small window detailing all the operations performed for the related order. The presented log details the notes, date, user and application of performed operations including:

Assets assignment
Booking insertion
Blacklist deposit
Event deletion

Function - Reload segment
Description : If there were changes to events in the segment (e.g. in the order lines) it only updates the segment in question, not all the events in the schedule (this can be done using the 'Update' function further down the menu).
If there is information that has been added and the segment is not updated, a warning message will prompted to alert the operator.

Function - Calculate actual segment start time (F4)
Description : Calculate the effective start time of the segment.

Function - Manage segments
Description : Please refer to the section Manage Segments.

Function - Change asset segments duration
Description : Modify the duration of the segments belonging to the selected event. Detailed information is available in the Change Asset's Segments Duration chapter.

Function - Search events
Description : Search either normal assets or commercial assets loaded on sale orders. Refer to "Search events" chapter for more details.

Function - BMS
Description : Search and consult programs/seasons loaded in purchase orders. Refer to the " Search BMS" chapter for more details.

Function - See Order
Description : If the event in question has been scheduled manually or automatically through a Seasons or Commercial order, this function allows you to open the order in question.

Function - Executive Editor
Description : Opens the Executive Editor module that allows an vertical scheduled management (instead of the horizontal management provided by Strategic Editor). Detailed information on how to use this module can be found in its relative chapter: Etere Scheduling | Executive Editor.

Function - Promo Management
Description : Monitor and place the right trailers across the broadcast schedule. For further details see Promo Management chapter.

Function - Delete all trailers within the segment
Description : Remove all the trailers previously scheduled from the selected segment.
 
Function - Modify event
Description : Change the selected event using the following functions (depending on whether it is contractual or not):

Convert in Reservation /Confirm Event (Shift-Del) - 
If an event has been confirmed, it allow s to change the confirmation to reservation and set an expiry date on the reservation. If the event is in reserved state, the menu will allow you to convert the reservation into a
confirmation.

Modify Priorities (CTRL-P) - The priority of an event will automatically change when you manually move the event within the schedule using drag and drop, or cut and paste.
However, you can manually amend the priority number using this tool. The lower the number (1-1000) the higher the priority.

Change into Filler - Use this function to change the selected event(s) into fillers. Fillers can be managed under the Fill Segments tool which permits to fill segments using fillers.

Change into wrongly scheduled event - Indicate that the event must be ignored during the invoicing due to scheduled/transmitted by error (i.e. in a programming space different from the ones stipulated in its proposals/orders).

NB: For detailed information on the use of the "wrong transmission" status please refer to the "Prevent invoicing off-target events" chapter.

Change into pending event - Indicate that the event must be ignored during the invoicing, as it must be reassigned to a different order.

Link pending event to another order - Reassign a pending event (i.e. modified through the "change into pending" function) to another order different from its currently assignment.
Only order lines matching the type and period of the order line currently assigned to the event would be listed.

Restore event - If an event has been changed into either "wrongly transmitted" or "pending", this function allows to restore the event to its previous status.

Change asset (CTRL-F9) - This function allows to replace a non-contractual event with another event using any of the following options:

•All day: Replaces all the performances of the event in the day.

•Only selected event: Replaces only the selected event performance.
Once set, save changes by either pressing the "Apply" button or hitting the [Enter] key.

Remove link of the Executive editor duplicate event - This function removes the block association of an event scheduled from Executive Editor (remains as a non-commercial event).
 
Function - Set event data
Description : Set the following information related to the selected event:

Set event scheduled time (CTRL-H) - Allow to change the expected scheduled transmission time of an event, for example, in cases where the selected time exceeds the duration of the current segment, the user will be prompted for a confirmation.
Furthermore, please note that by setting the 'assign fixed event property' flag, the event will be protected from future changes (e.g. events scheduled before/after it).

Set operator notes (CTRL-J) - Operator can add notes to the event. Inserted notes is visible in the list of event available alongside the schedule.
The "apply to all event segments" flag allow the operator to extend the entered notes to all the event segments (in case it was exploded in the schedule). Note that every time an event is exploded, the notes are extended to all exploded segments.

Set event scheduled duration (CTRL-G) - Allows to change the scheduled duration of the selected event. In case the selected duration exceeds the current segment's duration, the user will be prompt for a confirmation. Once the new duration is set, save changes by either pressing the "Apply" button or the [Enter] key.

Change the live channel - In case the current event is a live event, this option allows to select the channel from which its feed signal will be received.

Function - Check
Description : Assign a 'status' to the event relevant to the T-workflow. These statuses are user-defined in Configurations/Settings/Air Sales Parameters/Scheduling Workflow.

Function - Secondary events
Description : Add secondary events to the event in question. Please refer to the Etere Scheduling | Secondary Events chapter for more information.

Function - Properties
Description : This function activate the properties details of the event in question. A detailed explanation of how to set the properties of event, please consult the Media Library > Media Features > Properties chapter.

Function - Insert events from White/Black List
Description : This function allows re-scheduling events previously moved into the white or black lists (which contains 'replaced events' and 'not scheduled events'). See the Insert/Move Events from/to WL and BL chapter for detail information on how to use this functions.

Function - Move events to White/Black List
Description : This function allows placing the selected event into white or black lists (which contains 'replaced events' and 'not scheduled events'). See the Inserting and Moving events chapter for detail information on how to use this functions.

Function - Update
Description : This function allows updating a scheduled event with changes made in its linked asset:

Update duration (F4) - Updates the selected event with the media data (File, SOM, EOM, Duration) retrieved from the media library.

NB: Please note that this function is available as a T-workflow action for an automatic update of all the event scheduled performances.

Update duration, media and properties (F6) - Updates the selected event with the media data (File, SOM, EOM, Duration) and secondary data (e.g. Logo, Character Generator, GPI, Transitions, etc) retrieved from the media library. This function is useful in the following cases:.
•When information of the scheduled event is different from the asset form.
•Events inserted into the schedule whilst being recorded.
•Update recorded events which have been scheduled when they have not been recorded yet.
•Retransmit a schedule that already gone on air.
If this function is executed for an exploded event, the "explode all break points" function will be automatically triggered.

NB: Please note that this function is available as a T-workflow action for an automatic update of all the event scheduled performances.

NB: it's important to note that live events will be updated through these function (e.g. during a multi-selection) only if the "run update duration also for live events" option is enabled in Etere Configuration > Settings > EE section.

Function - Asset management
Description : Use this function to perform the following actions related to the asset linked to the selected order:

Associate an asset link to the event (CTRL F5) - Associates to the event the asset linked to its order line.
In case the order line has no linked assets, the Asset Contract Row tool will be opened to allow linking one or more assets (associated assets will be applied to the order line

Remove asset link from the event - Removes the link between the selected event and the associated asset.

NB: The removal is performed only for the selected event, not for its order line.

Event linked assets management (CTRL F6) - Opens the Asset Contract Row tool, allowing to view, modify assets linked to the event.

Function - Play Proxy
Description : If the asset has a linked proxy file (lowres file), the proxy preview form will be opened to preview the file from the schedule.

Function - Asset Form
Description : Enables you to view the asset form linked to the event in question.

Function - Seasons Event
Description : If the current selected cell contains a seasons episode, this option allows you to directly assign spaces and perform an episode management, as described in Seasons Programming.

Function - Explode/Implode
Description : Explode or implode the event as necessary.

Function - View quarterly scheduling
Description : By selecting this function, a calendar appears displaying in 3 months timeframe showing where the event in question is scheduled during that particular time period. By selecting a date, right click and select 'view details', it show the date, time and scheduled time of all instances the event occurs in the schedule on that particular day.

Function - Media Info
Description : When an event is not assigned to any media, the cell remains yellow and a warning triangle is present in the top right hand corner. By selecting the 'media info' function information is displayed relating to the lack of media in question. The 'information' message states the detail of the order and for example that the event selected is not recorded, that there is no media linked to the event, that the event cannot be transmitted etc.

Function - Virtual Document
Description : Permits you to link documents to the event in question (for example invoices, reports etc) using the Etere Document Management application.
