Resource Configuration

59.6.2.199 Pixel Power - Pixel Power Clarity resource editor

The information displayed in the first part is merely descriptive and shows previously assigned data:
•Code: The path of the resource that you are editing is displayed
•Type: Shows the resource type
•Number: Indicates the ordinal number that identifies that resource in case others of the same type coexist.
The user must enter the following information:
•Name: description of the resource you are editing.
•Driver: it can be PPCLARITY (via IP) or INFINITY (via serial)
•IP address: (driver PPCLARITY) Insert the resource's IP address and its local port (10104 by default)
•Configuration:
✓Logo Generator configured as Set the logo configuration
✓Enter the connected DSK: Indicate if the DSK is internal (INSIDE) or if a DSK previously configured must be associated from the resources (Attention, only active DSK are shown, so they must be formerly configured).
•Preset/Take Mod: to speed up the taking process, some devices can precharge a logo before showing it on air. This option can be exploited using Preset/Take mode instead of standard mode. Preset/Take mode is recommended only if commutation is used for all events. Otherwise, results could be unpredictable.
Configuration
-Heartbeat period (used to prevent the connection from falling). Default=1000 ms
-Video channel, Default=1
-Device job directory
Configuration (INFINITY driver)
- Job's directory on the device
- Messages directory on the device
Note:
- Creating jobs containing more pages on the device could be helpful.
- In the same way as other logo generators, creating jobs to send on-air is the competence of the customer.
- Since Main and Automation number logos from 1 to 999, job files created on the device (with extension .ppj) must be named 1. ppj, 2. ppj and so on. The driver will add the missing extensions.
- The driver requires all templates to be composed by just one page (page 1).
- If included, fields that can be updated must be progressively numbered starting from 1.
- All transitions are supported (Off, Fixed, Variable, Crawl, Custom).
- For Fixed transitions, the TemplateFile property must contain the job name.
- For Variable and Crawl transitions, the TemplateFile property must contain the job name, while in the Text property, data to be put in updatable fields must have comma delimited text format (first value for the first field, second value for the second field, and so on).
- For Custom transitions, the Template/Script File property must contain the name of the .ctm file defining the transition, and the Text property must have the values to replace the .ctm file parameters separated by "|" (as for other devices supporting custom transitions).
- If this device is managed by serial (INFINITY DRIVER), only Logos from 1 to 499 are available.

Pixel Power Clarity resource editor - User
After setting which user and program to activate the resource, it is necessary to develop other data:
(Only for INFINITY drivers)
COM n. Set the number of the PC's COM port where the device is connected.
COM Configuration - The COM port is configured with the following parameters (default device's parameters):
✓Baud: 9600
✓Parity: N
✓Stop bits: 1
✓Data bits: 8
422
✓Device (out) - Set the number of the device to activate when the resource gets opened ("-1" = not managed)
✓Controller (in) - Set the number of the controller to activate when the resource gets opened ("-1" = not managed)
(Set data referring to 422 only in the particular case of a centralized router also allowing serial ports' commutation)
