Integration between Air Sales and AD Insertion
The integration between Etere Air Sales and AD Insertion allows operators to vary the commercial scheduling of a station in the various transmission networks (e.g. regions, markets, zones, etc), providing regionally specific commercials where the main scheduling of programs remains generic across the country.
Required settings:
The networks used for transmitting events needs to be configured in "Etere Configuration > Settings > Basic > Ad insertion management".
The segments used for holding events transmitted by AD Insertion needs to be enabled with the "ad insertion" property in "Air sales > Block Editor".
Scheduling on AD Insertion Networks
The main schedule grid of Strategic Editor show all configured networks as tabs (1 main netw ork and up to 4 regional netw orks), and each tab
contain the segments enabled for "AD Insertion":
Depending on which network events are scheduled, the following behaviours will be managed:
Segments enabled for "AD Insertion" - Events scheduled on these segments belong only to the regional network (i.e. which are transmitted within single network).
These segments can feature different content for each ad insertion network (Network1, Networkt2, etc).
Segments not enabled for "AD Insertion" - Events scheduled on these segments belong only to the national network (but are transmitted across all the regional networks).
These segments can contain starting, ending and inter-cluster jingles.
NB: In any case, events scheduled from Air Sales cannot be "split" for AD Insertion through the Executive Editor's function "create cluster".
It's important to note that the way Strategic Editor set scheduled events as "to be transmitted by AD Insertion" depends on whether the "Ad Insertion mode" is enabled or disabled in Etere AD Insertion, both cases have been explained below:
Enabled - The title bar of Strategic Editor will indicate that [AD Insertion enabled]:
Only one regional network (1) will be used for transmitting events. Events will be inserted as follows depending on the insertion network:
Network 0 - An ID is generated for AD Insertion (even if "ad insertion" is not enabled in this network).
Network 1 - An ID is generated for AD Insertion.
Disabled - The national network (0) will transmit normal events whereas regional networks (1,2...) will transmit ad insertions. Events will be inserted as follows depending on the insertion network:
Network 0 - The ID is not generated for AD Insertion. This network is meant for events without ad insertions (i.e. not to be split).
Network 1,2 - The ID is generated for AD Insertion. This network is meant for events with ad insertions (i.e. to be split)
Besides, events can be scheduled on AD Insertion networks using the following methods:
•Using the "Insert starting and ending Jingles and Fillers" function of Strategic Editor.
•Specifying the "AD Insertion networks" parameter when creating orders and proposals.
