In broadcast automation, the 'Video Assist' mode is related to the manual intervention of a human operator (unlike the automate mode on which broadcasting operations are automatically performed). The 'Video Assist' mode is usually run when a broadcast automation emergency occurs and it's not possible to continue with the automatic transmission, in this case the on-air personnel present at the broadcast studio or control room will use the Etere Video Assist tool to send on-air up to four different schedules ready-to-be-transmitted.
