66.2 ETX-G Properties

The ETX-G Properties section enables configuring the properties of the ETX-G features. The properties are specified in the diagram below:

  1. List of Added Items
    This section displayed the items currently loaded into the ETX-G.  Information in this table contains the status of the items (show, pause, loop), their position and alignment.  You can change the scale type, alignment, screen anchor, and interlacing type by clicking on the appropriate column.  You could also configure the properties by double-clicking on the item name; for the text item, it opens the settings for content and font; for the ticker, it opens its settings for background.
    If the selected item is a group - you can get group contains by clicking on the "Enter Group" button
  2. Items
    In this section, you can add items to the ETX-G configuration; available items are:
    • Layer
    • Graphics
    • Text
    • Ticker
    • File (it can be a text file, images, or flashes)
    Add Graphics
    Whenever a graphic object is being inserted, the parameters allow you to set the colour and gradient type and define the outline and position of the graphic object.  It also allows modifying the XML to get the desired results.

    Add Text

    Whenever any text field is being inserted, it is possible to enter the content of the text item, set the font size and colour, and position the text content.

    Add Ticker
    Whenever a Ticker is being inserted, two option buttons, Add Ticker Text and Add Ticker File, would be enabled to add text ticker or ticker file to ETX-G.

    Enter the ticker text in the blank space provided.  To add an RSS feed, enter the URL address where the RSS feed is located.

  3. Composition’s Parameters
    This section contains compositions that can be applied.  To display a composition, set the requirement in the “Display Times” field (in milliseconds) and click the <Display> button.  To hide the composition, select the composition and click on the <Exit> button.
    To add an item to the composition, select the item from the list, specify its target composition and click the <Add/Update> button to add to the composition.  Without selecting an existing item, a new item would be created.
    Upon completion, click the <Save> button to save the composition.  Existing composition could be loaded using the <Load> button to open the dialogue.
  4. Configuration Management
    This section enables the loading of previously saved configurations or saving a new/modified configuration.  Use the <Save Image> button to save an image of the selected item.
  5. Item’s Effect
    This section contains all the effects you could apply to the items using the “Effects” row.
    The “On-Show” and “On-Hide” rows contain the effects for items in composition.
  6. Item’s XML Configuration
    This section displays the XML description of the selected item.  You can modify the XML configuration to set the properties for the items.  After modification, click the “Update via XML Desc” in the Item’s Effect section to save the changes.
  7. Properties
    This section contains all common properties of the items, including item size (width, height), position (X n Y), opacity (Alpha), and background colour (background, background alpha).
  8. Indent Item
    Specify the indent item, its indent group and item rate (speed field).  Click the <Apply changes> button to effect the changes.
  9. Movement
    In this section, you can move the item horizontally (Movement X) or vertically (Movement Y) or use the <Rewind> button to rewind the item.
  10. Auto-Blend Parameter
    This section allows for stitching or combining images in the composite image.  Enter the auto-blend parameters (in milliseconds) to set the auto-blend properties for the selected item and click on <Save Auto-Blend> to save settings.  To reset the settings, click on the <Reset Auto-Blend> button.
  11. Flash Settings
    This section sets the flash variables and functions for the selected item.  Use the <Lookup> button to retrieve a list of variables and functions, enter the variable name and set the new value in the “Value or Request” parameter.  Next, use the <Set> button to set the new value or the <Call> button to call the function.

Click <OK> to update changes and exit from the properties page upon configuration.
