The Delete Video function allows operators to remove a selected section of the delayed content from the broadcast timeline.
This operation is used when unwanted or inappropriate video content must be removed before it reaches the on-air output.
To delete a video segment:
1. Position the Editor at the beginning of the section to be removed.
2. Set the required Mark In position.
3. Set the required Mark Out position.
4. Execute the Delete Video command.
The selected portion between the defined marks is removed from the timeline, and a marker is automatically added to indicate where the deletion operation has been performed.
Timeline Adjustment
When content is deleted, the timeline is automatically recalculated according to the duration of the removed section.
The available delay buffer is reduced by the duration of the deleted content.
For example:
• If a 7-second section is deleted, the timeline is reduced by 7 seconds.
• If a 12-second section is deleted, the timeline is reduced by 12 seconds.
The automatic timeline adjustment ensures that the delayed content remains correctly synchronized after the editing operation.
