Censoring video

99.3.16 Hide Effects

Hide Effects

The Hide Effects function allows operators to conceal specific areas of the video content displayed on-screen during the censorship workflow.

This feature provides multiple visual masking options that can be applied to sensitive or inappropriate content while maintaining the continuity of the broadcast.

The available hide effects can be combined and configured according to the operational requirements, allowing operators to select the most suitable method for each censorship scenario.

Available Hide Effects

The following effects are available:

Mosaic

The Mosaic effect replaces the selected area with a pixelated pattern made of small image fragments with different colors and shapes, effectively hiding the original content.

Blur

The Blur effect applies a blurred visual filter to the selected area, reducing the visibility of the underlying content.

Plain Blue

The Plain Blue effect covers the selected area with a solid blue color.

Plain Yellow

The Plain Yellow effect covers the selected area with a solid yellow color.

Hide Area Configuration

Hide effects can be applied to different areas of the video:

Full Screen

The selected effect is applied to the entire video frame, completely covering the displayed content.

Partial Screen

The selected effect is applied only to a specific area of the video.

For partial screen masking, operators can configure:

Shape - Square -  Circle

Position Mode

• Fixed: The effect remains in a defined position on the screen.

• Move: The effect follows a moving area within the video.

The following sections describe how to configure and apply hide effects during censorship operations.
