The Insert Video function allows operators to insert one or more replacement clips into the delayed content. This operation can be used to replace inappropriate material, insert emergency content, or add predefined media while maintaining the continuity of the broadcast.
To insert a video clip:
1. Position the Editor at the desired insertion point.
2. Set the Mark In position.
3. Optionally, set the Mark Out position if the inserted clip should replace an existing portion of the video.
4. Select the desired clip from the Library.
5. Execute the Insert Video command.
Once the operation is completed, a marker is automatically added to the Timeline, allowing operators to easily identify the insertion point and review previously performed edits.
Mark In and Mark Out Behavior
The Mark Out position is optional and determines how the insertion is performed.
The following behaviors apply:
• Only Mark In defined: The selected clip is inserted at the specified position without replacing an existing segment.
• Mark In and Mark Out defined: The media between the two marks is replaced by the inserted clip.
If the selected clip and the marked segment have different durations, CENSOR EX automatically manages the operation:
• If the marked segment is longer than the selected clip, the operator is notified and can decide how to proceed.
• If the marked segment is shorter than the selected clip, only the portion of the clip corresponding to the selected duration is inserted.
Partial Clip Insertion
It is also possible to insert only a portion of a media clip.
Operators can preview the selected clip, define internal Mark In and Mark Out points, and use only the required section during the insertion process.
If necessary, the clip marks can be reset at any time before the operation is applied.
Multiple Clip Selection
The application supports the selection of multiple replacement clips, allowing operators to prepare and manage several media assets during live censorship operations.
