99.3.5 Preview Video/Audio and Reset Marks

Preview Video/Audio and Reset Marks

The Preview function allows operators to review video and audio clips before applying censorship operations.

Through the preview window, operators can select the required portion of a clip, define internal marks, and use only the necessary segment during editing operations.

Preview Video Clip

To preview a video clip:

1. Open the External Clip window.

2. Select the desired clip.

3. Right-click the clip and choose Preview.

The preview window allows the operator to review the content before inserting or replacing it.

Setting Clip Marks

During preview, operators can define the portion of the clip to be used by setting:

• SOM (Start of Mark)> Defines the starting point of the selected section.

• EOM (End of Mark)> Defines the ending point of the selected section.

After defining the required portion:

1. Select Set Marks and Exit.

2. The selected duration is applied to the clip.

3. The updated clip duration is displayed in the corresponding Picon.

The modified clip can then be used for censorship operations such as insertion or replacement.

Resetting Clip Marks

To remove previously defined marks:

1. Right-click the modified clip Picon.

2. Select Reset Marks.

The clip returns to its original duration and the previously defined internal marks are removed.

Preview Audio

The application also allows operators to preview audio content before applying audio-related censorship operations.

Audio preview can be accessed from the available preview controls, allowing operators to verify the selected audio segment before applying actions such as:

• Replace Audio.

• Mute Audio.

• Bleep Audio.

Previewing media before applying edits helps operators ensure that the correct content and duration are selected before the operation is performed.
