Censures Management and Reuse
Censures can be modified or reused in the future. To manage previously created censorship operations, go to the OPERATIONS IN TIMELINE tab.
This tab displays the list of all censorship operations performed by the operator. Only operations performed from the workstation currently in use and related to the currently selected channel are displayed.
To access the available options for an operation, right-click on it. The following options are available:
1. UNDO
2. REDO
3. CREATE A PARTIAL LIST OF OPERATIONS
UNDO
UNDO is used to cancel a selected censorship operation and prevent it from being executed.
After selecting UNDO, the operation remains in the list but its status changes to UNDO.
REDO
REDO can only be applied to operations that are currently in UNDO status and have future MARKs.
By selecting REDO, the operation is removed from the UNDO status and will be applied again.
In other words, REDO is the opposite action of UNDO and allows a previously cancelled censorship operation to be restored.
CREATE A PARTIAL LIST OF OPERATIONS
CREATE A PARTIAL LIST OF OPERATIONS allows the operator to select a consecutive range of operations and save them for future reuse.
The selection must be continuous: individual operations within the selected range cannot be excluded. For example, if the operator selects operations 13 to 55, all operations from 13 through 55 will be included.
A practical example is the censorship of a movie.
Suppose a movie was broadcast today and its censorship operations were performed from operation 15 to operation 65. The operator can select this range and save it using the movie title as the name of the partial operations file.
When the same movie is broadcast again in the coming days or months, the operator can reuse the previously saved censorship operations instead of creating them again manually. This allows the operator to significantly reduce the time required for repeated broadcasts.
All saved operation lists are available in the PARTIALS OPERATIONS FILES tab.
From this tab, the operator can:
1. Select the previously saved censorship file.
2. Set the correct START AT time.
3. Press START to apply the saved censorship operations (each operation will be inserted one minute before its scheduled tiem).
For example, the operator can select the movie's saved file, enter the appropriate start time, and click START. All the censorship operations contained in the file will then be reapplied automatically.
A STOP button is also available in the PARTIALS OPERATIONS FILES tab. This allows the operator to stop the ongoing operation at the point it has reached.
If an operation requires the insertion of 50 marks, they will not be inserted all at once. Instead, they will be inserted one at a time, with each mark being inserted one minute before its actual use. The system will automatically calculate the correct time for each mark, allowing the operator to intervene if necessary.
If a mark is manually inserted outside the import process, the Partial Operations import will display a warning message indicating that mark X could not be inserted because another mark is already present at the same position. The system will not overwrite the existing mark; instead, it will skip that mark and continue with the next one.
Therefore, to avoid issues when inserting censorship marks that have already been saved and previously confirmed by the operator, it is recommended not to perform any additional manual CENSOR operations during the import. This will prevent possible overwriting or marks from not being inserted.
Censures in the Timeline
The TIMELINE also displays all censorship operations within the available TimeDelay buffer, including both past and future censures.
The operator can select a censorship directly from the timeline and perform an UNDO operation.
The operator can also move to the corresponding MARK IN and MARK OUT positions to inspect the censorship.
A dedicated tooltip provides additional information about each censorship operation when the operator moves the cursor over it.
