The Fade Transition function allows operators to apply a fade effect when inserting a video clip into the on-air content.
This feature works together with the Insert Clip function available in the Action section and allows operators to create smooth transitions between the current content and the inserted clip.
The fade settings are configured through the Transition Control section of the CENSOR EX interface.
Configuring a Fade Transition
To configure a fade transition:
1. Open the Transition Control section.
2. Enable the Fade option.
3. The Fade Selection window is displayed.
In the Fade Selection window, operators can configure:
• Fade Effect Type: Defines the transition style to be applied.
• Transition Mode:
• IN: Applies the fade effect when the inserted clip starts.
• OUT: Applies the fade effect when the previous content ends.
• Fade Speed: Defines the duration of the transition by setting the number of frames per second.
• Speed Mode: Slow, Medium and Fast
After configuring the required parameters, click OK to confirm the selection.
Applying the Fade Transition
Once the fade effect has been configured:
1. Select the required video clip.
2. Use the Insert Clip or Cut Insert Clip function.
3. The configured fade transition is automatically applied during the clip insertion.
The active fade effect is displayed in the Transition Control section through the corresponding effect indicator, allowing operators to verify the transition applied to the clip.
Resetting a Fade Transition
To remove an applied fade transition:
1. Open the Transition Control section.
2. Select None.
The fade effect is disabled and future clip insertions will be performed without transition effects.
