The Bleep Audio function allows operators to replace unwanted or inappropriate audio content with a predefined bleep tone while keeping the video unchanged.
This operation is commonly used during live broadcasts when specific words, sounds, or audio segments need to be censored before reaching the on-air output.
To apply a bleep:
1. Position the Editor at the beginning of the audio section to be censored.
2. Set the required Mark IN and Mark Out positions.
3. Select the bleep audio clip.
4. Execute the Bleep Audio command.
The selected bleep audio replaces the original audio content within the defined area.
Bleep Clip Requirements
The bleep clip duration must be equal to or longer than the section of audio being censored.
Examples:
• If the content to be censored is 5 seconds, the bleep clip must be at least 5 seconds long.
• If the content to be censored is 2 seconds and the bleep clip is 5 seconds, only the required 2 seconds of the bleep clip will be used.
Bleep File Format
Bleep audio files must follow the required format:
• File format: MXF
• File name: BLEEP.mxf
Using the correct file format and naming convention ensures that the bleep clip is correctly recognized and available for censorship operations.
